Music
Music has always been an important part of my life. I started playing the violin when I was 6 and have expanded to guitar, bass, and piano. I played first violin in the Jackson Hole Youth Orchestra during Sophomore and Junior year. I started at the School of Rock in Dallas when I was in 7th grade and was selected to join the House Band. I toured all over North Texas. When I lived in Dallas, I started a modern band club at my school. When I moved to Jackson, I enrolled in Teton Music School. My band opened for musician Cory Wong! I’ve played percussion instruments such as timpani, xylophone, and snare drum in the community band and continue to perform in my school's rock ensembles. In addition to performing, I also love composing and could see myself pursuing film scoring in the future. My work is influenced by classical, musical theater, rock, pop, and jazz.
I also love spreading the joy of music through Liz’s Lessons, my project where I teach younger kids music and through Visions for Confidence. You can learn more about this link and by going to the tab “Liz’s Lessons!”
